DePaul Athletics, Marquee Sports Network Announce Broadcast Partnership

CHICAGO – DePaul Athletics and Marquee Sports Network announced a multi-year broadcast partnership, Tuesday morning, to provide live television broadcasts of select DePaul Athletics events, including women's basketball, men's soccer, women's soccer, women's volleyball, and softball.

Marquee Sports Network is the exclusive local television home of the Chicago Cubs, as well as a broadcast partner of the WNBA's Chicago Sky. Marquee Sports Network is available on more than 65 cable and streaming providers across portions of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, and Wisconsin, and Marquee's non-game programming, including studio programming, documentaries, and more, is available nationwide through DirecTV and Fubo.

Last month, Marquee Sports Network launched a direct-to-consumer subscription offering, providing in-market fans a new option to stream live events and original programming. The new subscription offering coincided with the launch of a new Marquee Sports Network App giving fans the option to watch via web browser, mobile/tablet devices and connected TV platforms. For more information, visit MarqueeSportsNetwork.com/App.

Marquee Sports Network will air its first DePaul Athletics event on October 4 as DePaul men's soccer hosts UIC at Wish Field in Lincoln Park. The network will host six DePaul women's soccer, men's soccer and volleyball games this fall with additional selections to come.

"This partnership with Marquee elevates several of our athletics programs and allows DePaul to garner even more viewership and visibility throughout Chicago, the Midwest, and nationally, said Vice President and Director of Athletics DeWayne Peevy. "Marquee's commitment to elevating women's sports and viewership reach in the Midwest made this an excellent partnership for DePaul Athletics."

"As a DePaul graduate, it's a privilege to partner with the school's athletic programs as Marquee Sports Network continues to expand our live, local sports programming," said Marquee Sports Network Vice President of Programming, Alli Bertucci. "We look forward to featuring the tremendous student athletes across DePaul's athletic programs. Go Blue Demons!"

This partnership expansion is the latest in a series of investments and strategic partnerships DePaul Athletics is making in broadcast and live streaming capabilities. In 2023, DePaul Athletics launched a comprehensive audit of its broadcasting services in partnership with the BIG EAST Conference and Senior Associate Commissioner for Broadcasting, Scott Hecht, to develop a strategic plan for growth. That plan has led to the installation of twelve HD cameras at the XS Tennis Village to support live streaming of DePaul men's and women's tennis matches, the creation of part-time, student positions to support broadcast and camera operations, and an exploration of academic partnerships in broadcasting.
